We know the importance of nutrition and exercise, but evidence is increasing that sleep matters for longevity.


A large scale study by McAuliffe, published in December 2025 in SLEEP Advances, found that insufficient sleep had a more significant impact on decreased life expectancy than other lifestyle factors, such as diet, physical activity and social isolation.


It's amazing to think of insufficient sleep as a major health risk factor. Turns out ‘I’ll sleep when I’m dead’ was not meant to be taken literally, so get your ZZZZ's
