Physical activity dose for generalized anxiety disorder & worry: Results from the Irish longitudinal study on ageing

It seems like every day we recognize how much regular exercise really matters. A new study done over 10 years involving 7,650 people found that as little as 10 minutes of daily exercise reduced the risk for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in older adults.

This study was part of the Irish Longitudinal Study on Aging and showed even those exercising a little bit each day had 47% lower odds of GAD compared to those who didn’t exercise at all. The study was led by Matthew P. Herring, PhD. Click here to read more: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0165178124000106
