I typically do well with longevity tests, but this proved to be a challenge when I actually tried it. Let’s just say I wasn’t thrilled with my score… but felt much better when I found out a friend (who's 30) and her 4 year old niece were the only one's in her family to achieve a perfect 10. Turns out, this deceptively simple move is hard for a lot of us—regardless of age.
The June 2025 article by Araujo, published in European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, shows that adults who performed best on the sitting-rising test were significantly less likely to die of natural or cardiovascular causes over a 12-year period. The test evaluates balance, flexibility, and strength—no gym equipment needed.
