Who knew men’s moods could actually improve just from women’s natural scent during ovulation?
This August 2025 study by Ohgi, published in iScience, explored whether women’s body odor changes across the menstrual cycle could influence male male emotional state and emotional state. Odors collected during the ovulatory phase were rated more pleasant—described as “citrusy” and “fragrant”—and were linked to improved male mood, including greater calmness and relaxation. Turns out the real aromatherapy was inside us all along.
